The material and brand of the gloves
There are currently three types of boxing gloves on the market, PU leather, microfiber leather and pure leather.
The most common boxing gloves we see on the market are mostly PU fabrics. Although the quality of PU boxing gloves is lower than that of pure leather and microfiber leather, the price is cheap. General boxing enthusiasts can accept it.
Microfiber leather has the advantages of wear resistance, aging resistance, softness and breathability, and its performance is even better than that of genuine leather. Therefore, many high-end gloves use microfiber leather as the epidermis material.
Although the pure leather fabric looks relatively high-grade, but the cost is high, it is generally not acceptable for non-professional athletes.
The inner glove is filled with materials such as horsehair, natural latex sponge, and PVC. The palm is mostly made of mesh material, which is good for perspiration and ventilation. There is a gripping strip at the third joint of the fingers.
There are also two types of glove: lace-up and velcro. Regular competitions require the use of lace-up gloves. General training uses velcro gloves for convenience. Lace-up gloves can make the gloves more firm and more suitable for competition, and after lacing, wrap tape around the wrists. The tape is used to close the interface and rope ends of the glove's lace to avoid scratching the opponent and yourself.
